Responsibility for a new production facility

The pharmaceutical company CSL Behring is planning a new production site with several production lines for recombinant therapeutics processes in the Swiss town of Lengnau. The new building will create more than 300 jobs and will amount to an investment of more than CHF 1 billion over a period of six years. The start of production at the Lengnau plant is planned for 2021.

Together with CSL Behring, we are developing a standard process for the project that ensures quality assurance in the processing and construction phases. Predefined process steps and regular coordination within the team avoid potential conflict and ensure overall success for the project.

How we avoid the usual pitfalls in Lengnau:

The delays and costly replacement measures in the construction industry arise for the following reasons: unclear requirements, poor management of planning time, tenders submitted too early and incomplete, construction and execution times as well as construction workflows and processes that are too long, and excessive official administrative requirements.

We offer all project participants in the various phases a solution-oriented method and pragmatic action.

The main difference to the usual practice is that no excessively large organisational structures are created that would result in too many meetings– with additional tasks resulting from them, which in turn would be carried out via extensive lists and increased personnel deployment.

Our method consists of a holistic approach and synchronisation of the individual teams. In short meetings, problems are discussed and solutions are established.

We see this targeted decision-making as a fast and manageable foundation for work with reliable criteria that do not result in parallel or duplicated work.
